Fantastic experience from beginning to end
If you are thinking of a bare boat charter in Greece don't do it, book Sail with George instead. His expertise and local knowledge transforms the experience into something special with secret swim spots, remote taverna's, quiet anchorages as well as occasionally docking right in front of the best restaurant in town. George has a relaxed, gentle manner that makes beginners feel safe and he creates a really nice atmosphere on board. We have done two trips with George now and will definitely come again. Trip of a lifetime!
I cannot recommend this skipper highly enough. He makes you feel really safe, he has a fantastic and gentle sense of humour, he knows the best places to go, and takes you there with a minimum of fuss. Do yourself a favour and Sail with George (and friends)!

AUSSIE ALICE GROUPIES TOUR
We did a 7 day sailing trip with 8 other friends on a chartered Bali 4.6 and had Giorgos skipper our boat. We sailed with Giorgos 7 years ago as part of another sailing tour but this time we privately chartered Giorgos and the boat. It was the best decision ever. We always wanted Giorgos, he is a brilliant skipper, safe, confident, knowledgeable and calm. He also has a great sense of humour and really won everyone over with his great looks and even brighter personality. We love Giorgos. We all go home with so many amazing memories of swimming in crystal clear turquoise blue waters, eating amazing food at seaside tavernas, sharing meals cooked on board the well equipped gallery and enjoying lots of singing, drinking, dancing and joking. We had the best time and look forward to doing this again with you sooner rather than later. We sailed from Alimos Marine to Kea, Kithnos, Serifos and Sifnos. Sailing trip Corfu to Kefalonia
Just back from the most magical sailing trip, going from Corfu to Kefalonia, with George. Exceeded in every way..apart from a little light on wind .. but can't blame George for that! The spots George took us to were just idyllic. Sooo beautiful and untouristy. Beautiful seas landscapes and secluded beaches, all managed by a superb Skipper.
If you want to experience the best sailing experience, the only option is sail with George. Knowledgable and exceptional as not only a Skipper but a local guide too. As a seasoned traveller I would say hands down this is the best trip I have ever experienced. A once in a lifetime experience!
With breathtakingly beautiful moments daily this trip completely exceeded my expectations! George is a lovely person and truly the best skipper! He is very knowledgeable and experienced, so you can trust him and fully relax! We leisurely sailed between idyllic coastal villages and stunning secluded beaches. The Ionian islands are beautifully wild and rugged, not overly touristy or crowded. The ship was very comfortable and we had such a good time on board we chose to anchor out at sea two nights, rather than go into harbor. The schedule was very flexible and we felt we had as much time as we liked at each destination. George is easy-going, kind, and funny; he made everything easy and fun! We enjoyed eating delicious traditional Greek food, shopping for unique souvenirs, and jumping in the sea to cool off whenever we were hot. A fantastic sailing trip that we will remember for years to come!
It is hard to describe how fantastic our sailing trip with George was!! George is not only an excellent skipper, but also so much fun !! We loved our trip from start to finish.. George took us to incredibly beautiful & fascinating places.. each day was a wonderful adventure. The Yacht was also beautiful and very comfortable. We will remember this trip for years to come!! Sailing with George (and friends).
My husband and I have had a fantastic 10 days sailing with friends and George. George is such a fantastic skipper. I think he could handle the boat with his eyes closed. He is charming and intelligent with a very caring manner. We had perfect weather and visited beautiful islands and swam in crystal clear water. We had lots of laughs and good conversations. We ate at traditional Greek taverns where we were welcomed as friends of George. We would sailn with George again in a heart beat. It was the best way to see the Cyclades.

Sailing through the wonderful Cyclades with George
Sailing the less visited islands of the Cyclades is an experience not to be missed, especially with George. A very experienced and more than capable skipper and guide. His extensive knowledge of the seas, currents and winds as well as the harbours will ensure you have a comfortable and more than enjoyable journey regardless of the weather. George is well known by so many locals in the harbour towns you will visit that you will feel like family. You will experience great meals and good deals. George is good company and manages group dynamics well. Communication in the days and months before your journey are clear. Masterful skipper inspiring guide wonderful insight into the culture,food and lifestyle of these 9 Cycladean islands
We sailed basically South out of Lavrio through to Kithnos, Siros, Delos/Rinia, Naxos, Koufansion, Amorgos, Irakleia to ios then ferried back to Athens.We knew it was going to be good because our friends who had travelled 3 times previously with George had told us so. And so it was.George is the real deal. A master skipper which was on display daily as he sailed The Big Blue, a 57ft Greek built Ocean Star monohull single handedly only slowed down at times by us being keen to help.Docking was an art form which we looked forward to daily as George would drop anchor and reverse with panache into our island dock for the day. We sailed when the winds were with us, motored when we had to.We met George’s family on his home island of Siros and some of his skippers along the way on his other Ocean Stars - Serendipity, Carpe Diem, IthacaOur boat was in very good order and worked perfectly throughout .George is clearly very experienced at hosting groups like ours as he is extremely knowledgeable and exceptionally well connected on the islands we visited and interacted very skilfully with us throughout.This was a self catered trip so we had breakfast on board, sometimes lunch but invariably dinner at a George recommended taverna/ restaurant onshore. We mainly shared plates and were lucky to have 4 serious foodies on board so the decisions were out of my hands and every meal was just fantastic.I never took to the Greek wines even quite expensive ones as they were too sharp for my taste but the beers were great.Every day just got better and better as it warmed up and we swam often.Amorgos was probably my favourite in the quiet port of Katapola with its extraordinary cliff clinging monastery and beautiful hilltop village.The bit that I found difficult to cope with was the number of cats and the consequent lack of small reptiles, insects, birds and littoral zone crustaceans. I know the cats are a photographers delight against the white washed walls but these islands are a pretty tough environment without having rapacious hungry Cats adding even more pressure.As you can hear it was a fantastic and very rich 10 days and George was such an asset at all sort of levels. He tells us that his young skippers are even better than him but we thoroughly enjoyed his company and revelled in his sailing mastery.It is hard to imagine you could go wrong sailing with George as it is such a good curated experience as you go where the winds are best.Thanks George
